Ilina Perianova

Ilina Perianova is an award-winning director, writer, and actress from Sofia, Bulgaria, known for Eat Me! (2016), Snowgirl (2016), and Queen (2019). She has participated in theatre classes since childhood and studied theatre and film acting and directing in France and Bulgaria. In 2016 she became a graduate from the MA program in Film Directing in the Baltic Film and Media School in Tallinn, Estonia. Ilina speaks and writes fluently in English, French, Russian and Bulgarian.

Food should be respected or else we just feed into a system of global consumerism- use, abuse, throw away, both in relation to what we put in our mouths, but also to the people in our lives. I am inspired by people like Jane Goodall and David Attenborough who try to create a different focus for humanity. What happened this year with the pandemic, really shows us we are not in harmony, and not at peace with the Earth.
